So I finally gave up the good fight and I now have a myspace. I didn't want one, but everyone I meet seems to look at me like I am a leper because I'm not on myspace. So to save myself the trouble of having to explain anymore, I just gave in. I am 28 yrs old, I should not have to put up with peer pressure. I watch my kids put up with it and I thank any deity I can that I am not 10 yrs old anymore and here I am acting like them. Well as long as I don't let myspace control my life I think I will be okay. Other than that, I had an awesome day today. I found this really bitchin Angela icon and watched my cousin's baby today. Well I better go to bed, gotta go to work early and Heroes comes on tomorrow!

So Idol was awesome tonight. I was pleasantly surprised by everyone and so happy that Sir Sucks-a-Lot aka Sanjaya was back. I say keep him around just because it makes my night to watch him make a total ass out of himself. Now I am bored. My friend sent me this so I would stop texting her so she could get some sleep.

1. The first character I first fell in love with: JIM!!!!!!!
2. The character I never expected to love as much as I do now: Dwight, such pomp and circumstance, but I wuv him.
3. The character everyone else loves that I don't: this is so hard, I love them all, but if I had to choose someone, it would be Michael because sometimes I find him very painful to watch
4. The character I love that everyone else hates: Dwight, Angela (I know, I can't help it but when she told the Asian girl at the Christmas party that she doesn't go into her house and take her Hello Kitty backpack, I almost choked on a spoon) and Kelly because she is such a dumbass
5. The character I would shag anytime: JIM!!!!!!!!!!
6. The character I'd want to be like: Pam, only more assertive
7. The character I'd slap: ummm Michael, but that would be like beating a two year old, so Roy
8. A pairing that I love: duh, Jim and Pam
9. A pairing that I despise: duh, Jim and Karen
10. Favorite character: tough one, but Dwight, only because he loves BSG and does not mind pimping it

It is days like this that I ask myself why I became a teacher (something I NEVER thought I would question.) Ever since I was a small child, this is all I have ever wanted to do. But slowly I am realizing several things: first off the pay is substandard, the hours are not as great as they seem (the summers are awesome, but my school day begins at 5 am and I get home at 5:30 pm, then I grade papers or write lessons until 10 or 11.) I can't do what normal people my age do in public for fear of being seen by one of my children or their parents or the schoolboard or my principal (ex: I can't drink at Mardi Gras or any public place) and I have to put up with gross accusations and threats to my job (okay this was the first time for this, but still...). Thank the gods I have a principal and lead teacher who back me 110%. They were so awesome this afternoon and believe me, I needed the reassurance that everything would be okay.
Why didn't I listen to my dad and become an accountant? He had to listen to my rantings this afternoon and he had this "I told you so" look written all over his face. All that I could think was "yes, I know.' Well hopefully things will work themselves out. We only have five more weeks of school left and I am so looking forward to putting this year behind me. Hopefully one of my children will have an epiphany tomorrow and I will have some validation as to why I am in the profession I am in. *fingers crossed, always the optimist*

I just got my new glasses and I am so amazed that I can see. I was horribly blind. Everything was distorted and fuzzy. It is scary to think that I was trusted to go out in a vehicle and drive. But I can see now so I am happy *grins*
Anyways, American Idol is killing me this year! I hope I am not the only one who has a difficult time watching it. It isn't just Sanjaya. He was halfway decent tonight *falls over from shock* The one Idol that really gets under my skin (believe me there are many this year that do this to me) is Phil Stacey. He freaks me out!!!! I am unsure why, but I have a really difficult time watching him. I usually cringe when it's his turn. Plus he has a really smart mouth and that bugs me. Be grateful for being in the position you are in and stop being an ass, ass.
Haley also bugs me. I feel like I am watching the Miss Texas pageant during the talent portion of the competition. She irks me to no end. Even my girls Melinda and Lakisha were pretty sucky. Oh and I totally called Conga for Lakisha. I spent most of the time laughing about my ESP skills than watching the performance. Oh well, that's why the gods invented YouTube, huh? I am still pissed about Gina (her before... oh Sanjaya, Phil, HALEY????) Well I am preparing myself for Haley's departure tomorrow *gets champagne out* and keeping my fingers crossed it is Phil. :)

Church was good this morning; I froze my booty off with my sleeveless, knee high dress (I paid too much money not to show it off today.) It was 40 degrees this morning! It was pretty rough, but the worst thing is that I have to go back to work tomorrow. :( I have spent all day thinking about it. Spring Break was so wonderful and I received some much needed r&r, but it went by too fast. I can only pray that my kids are not too crazy tomorrow. We only have five weeks left of school and so much to do! Spring Fever is a bitch in a fourth grade class. A teacher is such a slave to time! Well better go iron my grown up work clothes and start getting ready for my alarm at 5 am.

Since no one reads this and I need to get this off my chest, I just have to say.... I am so fucking stupid! I just went to see The Reaping and I almost peed my pants. My friends do say that I am a wimp though. Ugh I hate scary movies, especially ones that bring religion into the main plot, but I love to scare myself. Here are some religious horror films that have scared the shit out of me in my 28 yrs.
Children of the Corn- haunted my dreams and nightmares as a child
The Exorcist - shudder
The Omen (with Gregory Peck) - just plain wrong
Rosemary's Baby- again, just plain wrong
and finally...
The Exorcism of Emily Rose- my friend tried to give me her copy and I refused to let that abomination in my home
Why is religion so scary? I guess I never learn my lesson. *grins*
